When I hear the word communication I think of a few people talking back and forth. but when it comes to computes there are several ways to "communicate." There is a communications network which is a way for computers to share data , information, and software. There is Communications software and communications channel that set up programs to manage and create pathways for the transition of data between computers. Probably the main way people communicate is through the Internet. The World Wide Web provides us with links designed for the users to go from one web page to the next n a matter of seconds. searching for information on the web is becoming easier with search engines such as GOOGLE and Ask Jeeves, and Multimedia is becoming more accessible with the advances in streaming video and audio.
Perhaps the most useful part of the internet today in society is e-mail. People use e-mail to get important mssages and files sent to them in a matter of secconds. E-mail is a fast, easy, and convienient way to comunicate with others. Websites such as Myspace, facebook, live jurnal, and blogspot also allow people to comunicate conviently throughout the day, on a lunch break or before class.
Last week in class we took a basic skills test on how to use a computer. The test wasn not all that bad. It did teach me a few things i did not know how to do. Hopefully by the end of this class, i will know allof the secrets to creating a test on microsoft word, and I will be more familiar with the computer in general.

I totally agree with you that the most useful communication tool is now e-mail. It sounds like you really understand the chapter.
I am now inspired to actually read the chapters =)
That makes one of us...
I like how you brought in personal examples to liven up your post. Bravo! :D (netiquette smiley!)

Good Job on your blog. I like how you showed how we look at things with the way we communicate today. It's not necessarily with talking anymore. Good Job.
